Box Score Geneseo, N.Y.- The SUNY Geneseo men's hockey team rolled past SUNY Brockport 6-2 in the Ice Knight's first conference game of the season. Geneseo moves to 3-0-0 on the season and 1-0-0 in State University of New York Conference play.
 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Knights struck first halfway through the first period at 10:58. Cooper Fensterstock blasted home a slapshot on the power play. Alex Wilkins and Peter Morgan with assists on the play.
• Brockport tied the game at 14:40.
• Geneseo forward Alex Wilkins converted a rebound opportunity at 4:04 into the second period. The Knights regained the lead, and the goal was assisted by Jared Thomas and Zach Rehbaum.
• The Geneseo Knights struck again moments later. Luke Panchisin scored at 5:02 into the second period with Cooper Fensterstock adding an assist.
• Brockport scored again at 9:14 into the second period, which made the score Geneseo 3, Brockport 2.
• Geneseo forward Stefan Miklakos added another goal to his season tally at 16:35 into the second period, increasing the Knight's lead.
• Miklakos scored again at 14:18 in the third period. Tyson Gilmour and Alex Dameski both assisted the Knight's fifth goal of the game.
• Geneseo freshman Sterling Wolters added to the lead at 12:43. Wolter's solo goal made the final score Geneseo 6, Brockport 2.

 
QUICK FACTS:

• Sterling Wolters recorded his first collegiate goal as an Ice Knight during the contest.
• Ice Knight forwards Luke Panchisin and Stefan Miklakos have both scored three goals in three games, leading the team in scoring.
• Adam Harris was once again the starting goaltender for Geneseo. Harris has only allowed a total of five goals in three games so far this season.
