OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team earned a 81-23 victory at Old Westbury on Sunday afternoon. The Knights bounced back from a tough season-opening loss the day before, and now sit at 1-1 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Knights wasted no time jumping ahead, as Kiley Snow hit a jumper on the opening possession, then assisted on a Maggie McGrane three the following trip down the court. Geneseo went on to take a 19-9 lead after the first quarter.
• Snow and freshman forward Audrey Hintz led the Knights offense to an impressive second quarter, as the two combined for 18 of Geneseo's 26 points. The lead grew to 45-13 after the second quarter.
• The Knights continued to fire on all cylinders in the second half, as they held the Panthers to just 10 points and scored 36 themselves.

QUICK FACTS

• Hintz led all scorers with a 20 point performance on 9-11 shooting from the field. Snow also reached double digits with 17.
• McGrane led the rebounding effort with 10, while Kerry Dennin chipped in eight of her own.
