OSWEGO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team claimed a comfortable win against Oswego on Saturday, Oct. 28. This marks their seventh conference win, improving their SUNYAC record to 7-2 to secure the third overall seed for the postseason.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first set started close, but Geneseo quickly broke away as the Knights had several streaks that secured the momentum in their favor. The set ended with and ace from Jenna Garvey, and followed by an Oswego attack error, handing Geneseo the 25-16 win.
- The second set was very evenly matched early. The scores were tied six different times, with the last at 10-10. The Knights recorded six-straight points later in the set, pushing the lead to 21-14. The set ended with a service ace from Jenna Garvey, giving the Knights the 25-18 win.
- In the third set, Geneseo started took an early advantage as they were down 2-0, but worked to get a 6-2 lead. Alexandra Driesen recorded two aces in the third, and the set was sealed with a big kill from Linda Rossi. Geneseo won the set 25-16, and the match 3-0.

- In the match, Linda Rossi recorded nine kills, the highest for the team. The assists leader was Alexandra Driesen with 13.
- Madison Gamberg claimed four blocks with Alisiana Muscoreil had two. Garvey and Driesen both had two kills.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Knights will be hosting a tournament, starting on Friday, Nov. 3. They will play Carnegie Mellon University on Friday, and RIT on Saturday. The SUNYAC tournament will begin on Tuesday, Nov. 7, where Geneseo has claimed the three-seed, and will host the quarterfinals against Plattsburgh.
