GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team hosted Plattsburgh and fell 1-0 to conclude the regular season on Saturday afternoon. The Knights' season record came in at 6-3-7 overall and 2-1-6 in SUNYAC play. Geneseo honored their 11 senior members before the game in a brief pre-game ceremony.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Geneseo's offense came out strong in the first half as they tallied 11 shots and one corner kick in the first 45 minutes of action.

• The Knights' defense also held their own as they only allowed the Cardinals to record two shots before halftime.

• After the half, the Knights' offensive attack remained in control as they tallied seven shots and three corner kicks.

• Despite Geneseo's defense holding Plattsburgh to only four shots in the final period, the Cardinals found the back of the net in the 83rd minute. 

• The Knights were unable to tie up the game as they fell 1-0 in their first SUNYAC defeat of the season. 

QUICK FACTS:

• Forward Liv Raucci (9), and midfielders Lindsey Clar (2), and Dana Schoeps (2) each tallied multiple shots in the matchup. 

• Along with Raucci, forward Lindsay Wright, back defender Haylee Evertsen, and midfielder Tricia Curran each put shots on-goal in the matchup, as well. 

• Junior goalkeeper Mollie Collins played all 90 minutes in net and tallied three saves in the matchup.

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Knights will enter the SUNYAC playoffs as the six-seed and will face off once more against the Plattsburgh Cardinals on Saturday, Oct. 28.
