Linda Rossi in a brief pre-match ceremony for Senior Day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo opened up the match started out with a quick three point run, followed by four more. Several big swings from the Knights set up a blowout win in the first set. It concluded with a Fredonia attack error, giving Geneseo the 25-10 win.
- The second set was very reminiscent of the first, as Geneseo took an early lead with an 11-2 score. Another big streak began at 16-5, and Geneseo advanced to 23. Tori Tripp put it away with a kill, claiming a dominant 25-8 win.
- The third set remained close for the most part, as Fredonia held on to a lead for a few stretches of the set. The Knights got hot late, and achieved a four-point comeback. Cecilia Dignan served the last two points, and the Knights took the third set, and the match, with a 25-19 victory.
QUICK FACTS
- Linda Rossi led Geneseo with 10 kills. Julia Wallace was on Rossi's heels with 7, and Tripp earned 5.
- Jenna Garvey and Carolyn Mack combined for 32 assists, with 17 and 15, respectively.Â
- Rossi finished the match with a double-double, leading the defensive effort with 12 digs.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Knights will be at home again on Wednesday, Oct. 18 against Brockport. It will be their last SUNYAC matchup for a little while, and the game will take place at 6 p.m.
