OSWEGO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's basketball team couldn't come up with a big road victory in SUNYAC action on Saturday evening, as the Knights fell to Oswego, 86-63.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo struggled to find its rhythm early, as the Knights trailed by 12 points just under six minutes into the game. Junior guard Cole Kattan helped get the offense going, scoring five of seven unanswered points to cut the lead to five points.
- The Lakers never let the Knights cut the advantage to one possession, and went on to control the closing minutes of the first half and take a 45-28 lead into halftime.
- Geneseo scored an impressive 27 points off the bench in the second half, but it wasn't enough to mount a comeback and they ultimately fell 86-63.
QUICK FACTS
- Freshman forward Drew Morrow netted a career high 21 points on 7-12 shooting from the field. Kattan also scored double-digits with 17.
- The Knights were plagued by turnovers in the opening half, getting outscored in points off turnovers by a margin of 22-4 in the first 20 minutes.

Geneseo will return home on Jan. 13 and 14 to take on Oneonta and New Paltz, respectively.
