GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team triumphed over Brockport for the second time this season on Friday night as the Knights smothered the Golden Eagles with a score of 60-43 in Schrader Gym. The win pushed the Knights to 13-5 overall and 8-3 in SUNYAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights were in command during the first quarter, only trailing for less than a minute. An early three-point shot from Taylor Hansen gave Geneseo the energy they needed to gain a 12-7 lead by the end of the quarter.
- The Golden Eagles started a comeback in the second quarter, and ended the half by banking in a three right before the buzzer to make it just a one-point deficit.
- Geneseo held Brockport to just 16 points in the second half, while the Knights tallied 32. The resilient defense allowed Geneseo to close out the game with ease and a final score of 60-43,.

- Lauren Romito recorded her ninth double-double of the season, and her third in a row. Romito tallied 13 points and 16 rebounds, while Kerry Dennin and Mackenzie Reigle also recorded double-digit points with 11 each.
- This victory marks six consecutive wins over Brockport, with the last loss dating back to January 2020.
- The Knights held the lead for 38 minutes, or 95 percent of the game.
