BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's track and field team returned to action for the first time in 2023, and put up a strong showing at the Winter Welcome Back Meet at Brockport.

Kieran Sheridan continued to dominate the competition as he hit a school record in the 500, finishing in 1:04.33. John Goldszer crossed shortly after 1:05.09 for second best in the program as the Knights took five of the top six spots in the event. In the mile run, the Knights continued to put up impressive performances as Ezra Ruggles finished first and recorded the seventh best time in Division III this year, by crossing the finish line in 4:13.60. Nicky Andrews crossed less than three  seconds later at 4:16.26 for a top 20 time in Division III. Jack Heraty won the 5000, beating out second place by 12 seconds at 16:03.62. Lance Jensen also took home a second place finish, finishing the 60 in 7.08.
