PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's basketball team couldn't pick up its third-straight win on Saturday afternoon, as they fell at Plattsburgh 84-73. The defeat dropped the Knights to 7-9 overall and 4-5 in SUNYAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights rode some hot shooting early in the game, as three point shots from Cole Kattan and Kip Dallaris helped them take a 12-9 lead just over five minutes into the game.
• Geneseo and Plattsburgh battled back and forth for most of the half, but a last second shot from the Cardinals gave them a two point advantage going into halftime.
• Kevin Ranaghan quickly tied it back up for the Knights, but Plattsburgh began to pull away as the second half went on as they led by as much as 12 with four minutes left to play, putting away any hopes of a Geneseo comeback.

• Cole Kattan registered a season-high 27 points on 11-20 shooting from the field.
• Harrison Dignan and Raymond Grabowski also tallied double-digits with 12 and 10, respectively.
• Geneseo shot 50 percent from the field, while tallying a game-high 44 points in the paint.
