GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's ice hockey team survived a late scare from Morrisville on Friday night at the Ira S. Wilson Arena, as they Knights earned a 5-4 victory to improve to 11-4-2 overall and 6-2-1 in SUNYAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Geneseo came out firing, netting three goals in the first 14 minutes of play to take a 3-0 lead. Jared Thomas scored the first goal just over two minutes into the action, followed by Justin Cmunt off a power play and Alex Dameski.
• The Mustangs were able to answer back before the end of the period by scoring a goal of their own, but early in the second period Zach Rehbaum pushed the lead back up to three goals.
• Morrisville scored three unanswered goals after Rehbaum's goal, including two off a power play. With the game tied at 4-4 heading to the final minutes, Matthew Doran sniped a shot into the back of the net with less than five minutes on the clock for what proved to be the game-winnning goal.

QUICK FACTS

• Cooper Fensterstock was the only player in the game to record more than two points as he tallied three assists for th Knights.
• Doran's late goal marked his fourth of the season and third game-winner.
• Matt Petizian got the win in goal, tallying 26 saves.
• Geneseo has now won 11-straight games against the Mustangs.
