BROCKPORT, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team came up short on Wednesday evening at Brockport, falling 25-14, 25-15, 24-26, 25-14.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights battled the Golden Eagles in the first set, going on a four-point run midway through the set to cut their deficit to 14-13. However, Brockport responded with a big momentum swing of its own and won 11 of the next 12 points to take the first set.
- The Golden Eagles kept their momentum going from the opening frame, and took control early in the second set, cruising to a 25-15 victory.
- Geneseo came ready to fight back in the third set, jumping ahead 16-10 after a kill from senior middle blocker Jackie Borland. Brockport ended up earning a match point at 24-23, but the Knights won the next three points off two kills from senior outside hitter Isabella Imbo.
- The Knights couldn't find a way to force a fifth and deciding set, and ultimately fell to the Golden Eagles in four.

- The Knights have won four of the last six matchups against Brockport, including a pair of five-set victories last season.
- Senior libero Emily Haber led the defensive effort with 18 digs, while sophomore setter Allie Driesen notched 18 assists.
