GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo junior forward
Liv Raucci tallied three goals as the Knights earned a 5-0 victory over visiting Nazareth on Tuesday night at College Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo opened the scoring in the fifth minute when Ashleigh Scheidweiler picked up a quick throw-in and Hannah Sullivan combined with Lindsey Wright, creating a through ball for McKinley Skala. Skala timed her run perfectly for a breakaway, slotting the right-footed shot in the far side netting to make it 1-0.
- Just over 10 minutes later, Sullivan fed Lindsey Wright just outside the six-yard box where Wright took a quick first touch and struck a left-footed shot past the keeper, making it 2-0.
- Raucci scored her first goal in the 36th minute when Dana Schoeps triggered a counter attack with a long clear to Juliette Frischmann, who centered to Raucci for the open shot and goal just outside the 18-yard box as Geneseo entered halftime leading, 3-0.
- In the second half, Raucci tallied in the 65th minute and again in the 71st to complete her hat trick as the Knights rolled past the Golden Flyers, 5-0.
