GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo Women's Soccer team defended home field with a 7-0 victory over visiting Hilbert on Saturday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Geneseo opened up the scoring in the 13^th minute when Nicole Bell found McKinley Skala on a through ball down the middle for a goal.
• Skala added a second tally just over five minutes later off an assist from Lindsey Matthews to make it 2-0.
• Hannah Sullivan added a goal with an assist from Faye Higgins as the Knights took a 3-0 lead into the halftime break.
• Lindsay Wright, Nicole Bell, Matthews and Lauren Wozny each added a second-half goal as the Knights rolled to 7-0 victory.

 
QUICK FACTS

• The Knights scored seven goals for the first time this season after tallying at least seven goals on three occasions a season ago.
• Skala finished with two goals and an assist, the first multi-goal game of her career, while Wright tallied a goal and two assists.
• Sullivan, Bell and Matthews each finished with one goal and one assist while Faye Higgins tallied an assist as well.
• Angel Bennett earned the win in net without facing a shot in the first half. Mollie Collins played the second half in goal and did not face a shot either as the Knights' defense held Hilbert without a shot on goal.
