MENDON, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team kicked off State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) action with a bang as they defeated Fredonai 9-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Over the seven matches played, the Knights only dropped eight games total. Natalia Krol and Rory Tobin earned an 8-0 win at first doubles while Julianna Schulz and Grace Klomp picked up an 8-1 win at second. In singles action Abigail Rockwood led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fifth singles. Krol, Schulz, and Klomp each earned 6-0, 6-1 victories at first, second, and fourth singles, respectively. Rory Tobin capped off the sweep for the Knights with a 6-2, 6-2 win at third singles.
The Knights will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Ithaca for a 4 p.m. start.
