Guaynabo, Puerto Rico - The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team concluded its trip to Puerto Rico on a high note Friday morning, as they cruised to a 67-27 victory over Mount Holyoke.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights started out hot offensively, scoring a season-high 40 points in the first half. After holding a nine-point advantage at 20-11 at the first quarter break, Geneseo stepped up defensively and held the Lyons to just two points in the second quarter.
• The Knights defense continued to dominate in the second half, as they limited Mount Holyoke to just three points in the third quarter. A layup from Madison Hoyt near the end of the third quarter made it a 36 point advantage heading to the final 10 minutes.
• Geneseo went on to cruise to a 40-point victory, 67-27, in the final game of their trip to Puerto Rico.

QUICK FACTS

• The Knights held the Lyons to just 16.7 percent shooting from the field, while converting on 46.7 percent of their own shots.
• Kerry Dennin posted a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds. Kiley Snow chipped in nine points, while Hoyt, Brianna Beebe, and Maggie McGrane all added eight.

Geneseo will return to SUNYAC action on Jan. 6 and 7 as they travel to Brockport and Oswego, respectively.
