GENESEO, N.Y. – Senior forward Lindsay Wright scored a pair of goals and added an assist on the game-winner to lead the Knights past New Paltz, 3-2, in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Semifinals on Wednesday afternoon at College Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED

- In the second half, New Paltz cut into the lead with a goal in the 54th minute to make it 2-1, but the Knights responded in the 68th minute with a quick counter. Lindsay Wright found Liv Raucci with a through ball down the right flank. Raucci cut back to the center and fired a left-footed shot past the charging goalkeeper to make it 3-1.
- The Hawks scored in the 74th minute to draw within a goal, 3-2, with just over 15 minutes to play but Angel Bennett and the Knights defense held up to earn the victory.
