Women's Soccer Plays To A Draw Against Oswego

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's soccer team played Oswego at College Stadium on Wednesday afternoon and ended up in a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Knights controlled the action for most of the first half, out-shooting the Lakers 7-5, including 2-1 in shots on goal. Geneseo wasn't able to find the back of the net and the two teams entered halftime knotted at 0-0.
  • The Knights continued to put the pressure on the Oswego defense early in the second half, registering the first three shots of the period.
  • Geneseo's best opportunity to score in the second half came on a long run from junior defender Haylee Evertsen who one-timed a cross just wide of the goal in the 85th minute.

QUICK FACTS
  • The Knights haven't lost a game since Sep. 14 in a 1-0 defeat to William Smith, and now sit at 3-0-1 in SUNYAC play.
  • Since the game against the Herons in early September, Geneseo has only allowed one goal, and outscored opponents 17-1.

WHAT'S NEXT
The Knights will head to New Paltz on Saturday, Oct. 8 for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
