HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Geneseo opened the scoring just 1:49 into the game as senior forward Henry Cleghorn tallied his fourth goal of the season to make it 1-0. Senior forward Levi Wunder and first-year forward Peter Morgan registered assists on the play.
  • The Knights had a pair of first-period power play chances, but could not extend the lead and skated into the first intermission leading 1-0.
  • Midway through the second period, Nazareth tied the game, 1-1, but senior forward Dan Bosio scored to put the Knights back on top just under two minutes later.
  • With 14:00 to play in the third period, Perna netted his first goal of the season to put the Knights ahead, 3-1. Nazareth drew back to within one goal with a score at at 17:52 mark, but the Knights salted the rest of the clock away to hold on for the one-goal win.

QUICK FACTS

  • Bosio scored his ninth goal of the season, tallying a score in his second-consecutive game. Junior defenseman Nicolas Elia earned an assist on the Bosio goal, his second of the season.
