Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo junior forward Justin Cmunt scored two goals and junior goalkeeper Matthew Petizian made ## saves as the Knights earned a 7-1 victory over Nazareth in front of a raucous home crowd at Ira S. Wilson Arena on Saturday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Cmunt put the Knights on the board just 1:19 into the game, blistering a slap shot past the Nazareth goaltender to put the home team ahead, 1-0, in the early going. Cmunt added his second goal just under two minutes later, striking with a wrister on the power play to put the home team ahead, 2-0.
- In the second period, first-year forward Peter Morgan chased down a loose puck and fired a wrister over the goaltender's shoulder to lift the Knights to a 3-0 lead.
- Nazareth responded with a power play goal, cutting the Knights' lead to 3-1 with 12:13 to play in the second period. The Golden Flyers looked to be building momentum when they earned a second power play opportunity, but senior forward Henry Cleghorn slotted home a short-handed goal to shift the momentum back to Geneseo.
- Senior forward Ryan Burnett scored his first goal of the season late in the second period while junior forward Tyson Gilmour and first-year forward Stefan Miklakos each tallied third period goals as the Knights rolled to a 7-1 victory.
