Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo sophomore forward Michael Gannon tallied a game-high 18 points and snagged seven rebounds in a loss to visiting Potsdam, 68-59, on Saturday evening.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gannon scored back to back jump shots with 14 minutes left in the half while senior forward Sean Crowley added five first half points.
- The Bears closed out the period with a buzzer-beating three-pointer and headed into the halftime break with a lead, 38-24.
- Early into the second half junior forward Alex Mehrige drove through a crowded lane and finished with an emphatic two-handed dunk, as the Knights cut the lead to 10 points with four minutes left.
- In the final minutes, Merhige finished off a put-back slam, but Potsdam finished with a nine-point victory.
