Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior forward Stephen Collins and junior forward Trevor Hills each scored a goal, but it was host Brockport coming back from a two-goal deficit in the third period to earn the 4-4 draw, Friday, in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) men's ice hockey action.
Hills notched his ninth power-play goal of the season to tie the score, 1-1, with 13:38 left in the first period.
Brockport (9-9-3, 4-5-3 SUNYAC) converted a power play opportunity 1:30 into the second period to take the lead, but Knights' junior forward RJ Burns knotted the game with a goal on a Geneseo man-advantage opportunity with 16:05 left in the second period.
First-year forward Zach Lynes scored an unassisted tally with 12:24 on the clock as the Knights' held a 3-2 lead heading into the third period.
Collins found the back of the net at 12:22 for the 4-2 edge, but Brockport scored at 9:50 and again at 8:09 to earn the eventual tie.
First-year goalie Devin McDonald finished with 35 saves, only two shy of the career-high 37 he registered at Hobart (Jan. 8), as Brockport finished the game with a 39-29 advantage in shots.
Geneseo returns to action next Friday (Feb. 12) traveling to Buffalo State for a 7:00 p.m. face-off with the Bengals before hosting Fredonia on Saturday (Feb. 13) in the regular-season home finale at 7:00 p.m.
