GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team picked up another road sweep, blanking Utica 7-0 to improve to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Empire 8 play.
The Knights swept the doubles point without dropping a game. Natalie Pipes and JoAnn Catalano won 6-0 at first doubles, Samantha Rava and Rachel Molloy followed with a 6-0 win at second doubles, and Lauren Levatino and Talia Wutz closed out the point with a 6-0 win at third doubles.
Geneseo carried that same dominance into singles, sweeping all six flights and dropping just five total games across the match. Pipes won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles, and Rava followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win at second singles. Molloy cruised at third singles, 6-0, 6-1, while Levatino won 6-1, 6-0 at fourth singles. Catalano and Wutz each posted shutout wins at fifth and sixth singles, both 6-0, 6-0.
The Knights remain unbeaten through seven matches this season, with six wins resulting in a 7-0 sweep. The Knights will continue Empire 8 action on Wednesday at home against Houghton at 4 p.m.
