GENESEO, NY: The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team had a commanding win against SUNY Brockport this afternoon, taking down the Golden Eagles 14-7. The Knights move to 4-5 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Geneseo set the tone early with a goal from Grace Reyna at 14:02, followed by Hannah Ruller added another a minute later. The Golden Eagles added one for themselves, but Natalie Long scored her first of the game to end the first quarter.
• Brockport kept it close to start the second period but were unmatched against the Knights momentum, giving up six more goals, coming from Katie Rakowski, Danielle D'Aiuto, Warner, Long, Ruller and Reyna.
• Long continued to dominate in the third, adding two more goals for the Knights to make it 12-4.
• Brockport cut the Knights lead to five in the final quarter, but Long and Mahoney put up two back-to-back goals to secure the 14-7 win.

QUICK FACT:

• Natalie Long had a great day, scoring four goals and an assist against Brockport.
• Lila Warner led the Knights with four caused turnovers and added a goal and two assists.
• Teagan Culhane secured the win in net for her fourth win of the season.
