ELMIRA, NY: The SUNY Geneseo men's ice hockey team defeated the Elmira soaring eagles 4-3 while on the road. Alex Dameski led the Knights with two goals, pushing the Knights to an 11-6-1 record and 7-3-1 in the UCHC.  

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Alex Dameski put the Knights on the board six minutes into the first period, carrying the puck into the zone and sending it to the far post for his first goal of the game. Elmira managed to even the score at 9:13, but Dameski fired back, scoring a power-play goal less than a minute later to take the 2-1 lead.  
• The Knights opened the second with a short-handed breakaway goal from Carter Diceman at 10:06, going 1-on-1 with Elmira's goalie after breaking up a play in the Knights zone. Elmira answered back with one of their own, sending Geneseo into the third period leading 3-2. 
• Filip Wiberg went top shelf to extend the Knights lead 30-seconds into the period, capitalizing on the Knight's power-play, with the assists coming from Luke Panchisin and Sean Melso. Elmira made a play to close the gap to one goal, but the Knights held strong, securing the 4-3 win over their UCHC opponent.

• Jacob Torgner secured his eighth win of the season, making 30 saves in net.
• Three Knights tallied two points this game: Alex Dameski (2G), Carter Diceman (1G 1A) and luke Panchisin (2A).
• Geneseo outshot Elmira 41-33.
