Box Score FREDONIA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's soccer team fell to the Fredonia Blue Devils, 4-3, in a hard fought match. The Knights now sit at 1-2-0 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Geneseo let up an early goal in the first half, but it didn't deter the Knights, who continued to put pressure on the Blue Devils defense. Dylan Thody evened the score off an incredible shot, beating a defender to hit the far post and go in.
- Thody continued to create opportunities, passing the ball across the box with freshman Jace DiPalo sending it home, making it 2-1 as the Knights headed into halftime.
- Fredonia managed to find the back of the net early in in the second half, evening the score.
- With 24 minutes left, Eric Carnes found Aidan Lodie in the center who put the ball low canter, bouncing off the goalkeeper. Anthony Abbondanza picked up the rebound, tipping it in low corner to take the lead. Fredonia went on to score two more, escaping with a 4-3 win over the Knights.
