GENESEO, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo field hockey team will open the season ranked 21st in the 2025 Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Preseason Coaches Poll. 

The Knights are coming off an Empire 8 Championship last season, their first year in the conference, where they posted a record of 18-3. The conference title marked Geneseo's fourth in program history, and their best overall record since the 2019 season when they finished 19-3. 
 
Geneseo will open the season at home on Friday, August 29 against RPI at 3 p.m., followed by another home matchup on Saturday against Kenyon at 1 p.m.
