GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's lacrosse team defeated Keuka College on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 22-1. The win improves the Knights record to 8-6 overall and 5-1 in Empire 8 action, while the Wolves fall to 4-7 and 1-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Natalie Long put the Knights on the board 17 seconds into the action off a pass from Rosemary Mahoney. Geneseo would go on to add three more goals before the 12 minute mark, with goals from Sophie Lyko, Maddie Brown, and Alaina Reina. Geneseo would go on to lead 11-0 by the end of the first quarter.
• Olivia Luchetti opened up the scoring in the second quarter off an assist from Brown, then Dany Emler capped off the scoring with a goal before halftime making the lead 17-0.
• Brown, Shannon Day, and Mahoney found the back of the net in the third quarter, while Ava Mone and Luchetti concluded the scoring for the Knights in the fourth quarter for the 22-1 victory.

QUICK FACTS:

• Brown led the offense with seven points on two goals and five assists, while Mahoney and Long each chipped in four points.
• Defensively, Grace Geary, Lyko, Katie Rajkowski, and Allison Dodge each recorded two caused turnovers.
• Emily DeJohn, Teagan Culhane, Taylor Rakoski, and Holly Indelicato all played in goal for the Knights with DeJohn earning her seventh win of the season.
