GENESEO, NY: The Geneseo Men's Lacrosse team fell to the RIT Tigers 18-7. The team held their annual Cancer Awareness game, with this year's spotlight organization being the Susan G. Komen foundation for breast cancer research and in recognition of our Athletic Director Dani Drews and her current battle with the disease. This win gives the team an overall record of 0-3. 

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• Aksel Stanat opened the game for the Knights, scoring the team's first goal 50 seconds into the period. Jimmy Atkinson and Colin Cahill each netted a goal in the first, and Geneseo ended the first down by one.  

• RIT went on a 10-goal run in the second and third period before the Knights struck back. Atkinson tallied his second goal at 3:34 in the third, followed by Jake Perinchief at 2:51. RIT added three more to the score to end the third quarter.  

• Atkinson and Ronnie Trebing pushed in the fourth, adding two more for the Knights but unable to make a comeback. The Knights fall 18-7.  

QUICK FACTS: 

• Jimmy Atkinson led the team with three goals and now sits at five on the season.  

• Andrew Tittmann and Wes Ralph both recorded time in net, making a combined 10 saves.  

WHAT'S NEXT: 

The team heads to Clarkson University on Saturday, March 8th for a 7 PM game.
