UTICA, NY: The Geneseo Hockey team fell 4-0 against the No. 4 Utica Pioneers in UCHC conference play. The team now holds an overall record of 18-3-1 and 14-2-1 in conference play. 

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

• Utica had a strong first period, taking a 3-0 lead in the first 10 minutes. Geneseo held strong throughout the rest of the first, putting eight shots on net but unable to secure a goal.  

• In the second, both teams remained scoreless. Geneseo tried to capitalize on three power-play opportunities but were unsuccessful. Alex Dameski put three more shots on net in the second, but despite their efforts, the Knights went into the third trailing 3-0.  

• Geneseo played strong through the third, with Peter Morgan and Nicholas Kovacs putting great shots on net but Utica's goaltending kept them in the game. The Pioneers capitalized on the empty net at the end of the third, making the final score 4-0. 

QUICK FACTS: 

• Luke Panchisin led the team with four shots on net. 

• Adam Harris made 26 saves for the Knights.

The Knights will host Utica tomorrow night at the Ira S. Wilson Arena at 7 PM.
