GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo field hockey team earned its 12th-straight win on Wednesday evening, defeating Brockport 7-0. The Knights improve to 16-1 on the season, and 8-0 in Empire 8 play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Knights wasted no time taking control of the game, jumping ahead 4-0 in the first quarter of action. Sara O'Donnell opened up the scoring, then goals were scored by Ava Harman, Ella Greico, and Halle Senfield.
• Geneseo kept the pressure on in the second quarter, with Sam Lewis scoring off a pass from Senfield.
• Leading 5-0 in the second half, the Knights tacked on two more goals in the third quarter to seal the 7-0 win. Lewis registered her second goal of the game by ripping a shot past the goalkeeper off a penalty corner from Kyra Giannelli, then Senfield capped off the scoring.

QUICK FACTS:

• Greico improved her team-leading point total to 45 by tallying a goal and an assist in the game, while Senfield and Lewis improved to 20 and 19 points, respectively.
• Bridget Schafer earned the shutout win in goal, posting two saves.
• The Knights could clinch the No. 1 seed for the postseason with a win over Nazareth on Saturday.
