Women's Basketball Tops Keuka, 83-40

GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team earned their sixth-straight win on Friday evening at Keuka, 83-40. The win improves the Knights record to 10-4 overall and 5-0 in Empire 8 action, while Keuka falls to 5-9 overall and 0-5 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Geneseo got off to a hot start in the game, going on an 11-0 run after the game was tied at 2-2 in the first minute. Kiley Snow highlighted the big run for the Knights by scoring seven of the 11 points.
  • Brianna Beebe and Kathleen Birmingham got the second quarter started on a high note for Geneseo, with Beebe draining one three and Birmingham, two. The three triples helped Geneseo extend the lead to as many as 24 points in the quarter, and went on to take a 44-23 lead into halftime.
  • The Knights continued to dominate the action in the second half, out-scoring the Wolves 39-17 in the final 20 minutes, including holding Keuka to just three points in the final 10 minutes.
QUICK FACTS:
  • Four players reached double digits for Geneseo in the game: Grace Galgano (12), Kiley Snow (11), Audrey Hintz (11), and Kristin Suydam (10).
  • Galgano and Suydam led the Knights in rebounding with nine and eight, respectively, while Mackenzie Reigle dished out a game-high eight assists.
  • The Knights have now won six-straight games, with all victories coming by 20 points or more.
