New Paltz, N.Y.- The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team traveled to New Paltz and won 14-5 on Saturday afternoon. Graduate student Brady Sullivan led the Knights with two goals and three assists.
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• First-year Maddox Gorney and senior Cole Bollin scored in the first quarter to put the Knights up 2-0 at the end of the first.
• Junior Jimmy Atkinson struck first in the second quarter to score his first of the night. Cole Bollin and Graduate student William McCumiskey each tallied to extend the lead, with Atkinson assisting on both goals, helping the Knights go to 6-1 at half.
• Geneseo shut out New Paltz in the third, with goals scored by graduate student Brady Sullivan (2), sophomore Ronnie Trebing, and Maddox Gorney. Junior Riley Henselder and Jimmy Atkinson added assists during the quarter.
• Henselder, Atkinson, and Trebing (2) extended the Knight's lead in the fourth. Brady Sullivan (3) and Cole Bollin recorded assists during the final quarter. The Knights held on to win 14-5.

QUICK FACTS:

• The Knights dominated the faceoff battles, winning 19/22 draws. Senior face-off specialist BB Syrop went a phenomenal 14/16 and sophomore faceoff specialist Jake Starkey went 5/6.
• Junior goaltender Andrew Tittman started in the net for the Knights and recorded five saves on seven shots.
• Geneseo recorded 39 groundballs through four quarters while holding New Paltz to 18.

The Knights (8-5) will travel to Rochester to take on the RIT Tigers (12-1) on Wednesday, April 17, at 7 PM.
