GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's ice hockey team fell to the Curry Colonels 3-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The Ice Knights finish the season 21-6 overall.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Curry opened up the scoring with a five-on-three goal halfway through the first.
• Geneseo pushed hard to get an equalizer in the first period, putting up 17 shots on goal, but entered the second period down 1-0.
• In the second, the Ice Knights continued to play hard, dominating the Colonels side of the ice. The team added to their total shot total, out-shooting Curry 30-16 at the end of two periods. 
• In a hectic start to the third period, the Colonels held strong and ended up going up 2-0 before Geneseo could tie the game at 1-1. Curry went on to win 3-0.

QUICK FACTS:

• Adam Harris had a solid performance in goal for Geneseo, tallying 22 saves and just two goals against.
• The trip to the NCAA Tournament marked the Ice Knights 10th appearance in the tournament in program history.
