Box Score CANTON, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's soccer team started their season with a tie on Friday. The horn sounded with a 0-0 score against St Lawrence, leaving both teams at 0-0-1 following the season opener.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Geneseo tallied 15 shots, and 6 on goal. Eren Aydin recorded two shots on target, and Maxwell Fiorica, Joe Vogt, Vasion Sinjari, and Stefen Nikolic each contributed 1.
• The Knight's goalkeeper, Vincent Maronski Jr., recorded 5 saves, stopping every shot on goal.
• A clutch save by Maronski at 83:29 kept the game tied, preventing the loss. 

QUICK FACTS

• This marks the second year in a row that the Knights have begun their season against St Lawrence, losing 2-0 last year.
• Geneseo has not lost a regular-season matchup since October 15, 2022.
