THROGS NECK, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's lacrosse team stopped a two-game skid on Sunday afternoon by defeating Maritime College, 13-8. The win improved the Knights to 3-2 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Geneseo wasted no time taking control of the game, going up 3-0 in the first six minutes of action. Unassisted goals from Spencer Frank, William McCumiskey, and Casey Fortunato gave the Knights the three-goal lead.
• The Privateers were able to cut the deficit to one goal by the end of the first quarter, but a dominant second quarter from Geneseo limited Maritime to just one goal in the period and the Knights led 7-4 at halftime.
• During the second half, Geneseo went on a 5-1 scoring run, led by a pair of goals from McCumiskey, which helped put away the 13-8 victory.

QUICK FACTS

• Frank led the offense with four points on three goals and one assist, while McCumiskey chipped in three goals as well. Jimmy Atkinson also tallied four points, recording two goals and two assists.
• Senior goalkeeper Mark Pav tallied the win in goal, picking up 11 saves.
