CARLISLE, P.A. - The SUNY Geneseo women's cross country earned their ninth-straight top-10 finish at the NCAA Division III Championship Meet on Saturday afternoon, as they placed fifth with 205 points. Sophomore
Penelope Greene led the Knights by taking third overall, crossing the finish line at 20:59.3 to earn All-American honors.
Also taking home All-American honors, was senior
Rachel Hirschkind who placed 24th with a time of 21:32.2.
Lilly Fowler-Conner was the next Knight to cross the finish line, taking 56th place with a time of 22:06.3.
Katie Grossman was close behind at 22:14.6, taking 69th place. Rounding out the top seven runners for the Knights was
Sierra Doody (22:41.6),
Ann Brennan (22:47.3), and
Katherine Vogel (22:56.9).
Dating back to the 2014 season, Geneseo has finished in the top-10 nine-consecutive times: 2014 (5th), 2015 (2nd), 2016 (3rd), 2017 (6th), 2018 (5th), 2019 (10th), 2021 (3rd), 2022 (5th), and 2023 (5th). This season, Geneseo also captured their
12th-straight SUNYAC title, where they had the first nine runners cross the finish line and had a
dominant showing at the NCAA Regional meet where they cruised to a first place finish.
