Box Score Potsdam, N.Y.- The Geneseo men's hockey team (5-1-0) picked up an important bounce back State University of New York (SUNYAC) victory at SUNY Potsdam on Saturday night. The Ice Knights improved to 2-1-0 in SUNYAC play through two goals by
Alex Dameski.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- With two seconds left in the first period, Ice Knight forward Alex Dameski slammed in a rebound attempt into the back of the net. Teddy Purcell and Alex Wilkins were awarded an assist on the play.
- Four minutes into the second period, the Ice Knights struck again. Alex Dameski took the puck behind the Potsdam net and played the puck to Bryce DeFazio for a one-timer goal. Sophomore forward Cannon Green also picked up an assist on the Knights' goal.
- Potsdam scored with 15:14 left in the second period.
- Alex Dameski scored his second goal of the night with 4:25 left in the second period. Cannon Green picked up another assist, moving past two Bears defenders and passing it to Dameski for the goal. Diarmad DiMurro picked up the second assist on the goal. Â
- Ice Knights' forward Mitch Machlitt made the score 4-1 on the powerplay with two minutes left in the second period. Machlitt pounded home the rebound on Peter Morgan's shot. Assist was also awarded to Greg Koutsomitis.

QUICK FACTS:
- Freshman goaltender Jacob Torger started in net for Geneseo and recorded 30 saves on 31 shots. Torger finished with an outstanding save percentage of .968 through three periods.
- The Ice Knights recorded an impressive eight assists on four goals, displaying a full team effort.
- The SUNY Geneseo Ice Knights have an overall record of 56-39-10 against the SUNY Potsdam Bears. With the Ice Knights moving conferences, this will be the last time the two teams will meet for an inner-conference game in Potsdam.
