GENESEO, N.Y. - Three SUNY Geneseo student-athletes earned State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) weekly honors, announced by the conference on Monday. Men's soccer seniors Tyler Lewandowski and Cameron Houser earned offensive and defensive player of the week, respectively, while women's cross country senior Kathleen McCarey was named the SUNYAC Runner of the Week as well.

Tyler Lewandowski earned his second-consecutive Offensive Athlete of the Weke honor as led the Knights on the offensive end this week. In a 6-0 win against Hilbert on Saturday, Lewandowski scored three goals, bringing his total to seven goals on the season. Lewandowski earned the first hat trick in program history since Gavin Gleasman '19 scored three goals against St. John Fisher in 2018.

Cameron Houser was named Defensive Athlete of the Week as he led the Knights defense to a 3-0 week, where they only allowed four shots on goal over three games. Houser led the back line of the defense to two shutouts, 3-0 over Alfred and 6-0 over Hilbert, extending Geneseo's winning streak to six-consecutive games, the program's longest since 2008. Houser and the Knights' defense have allowed just two goals over that six-game span.

McCarey was named Runner of the Week after leading the Knights against the nation's best competition. At the Spartan Invitational, hosted by Michigan State University, Kathleen McCarey finished eighth overall, the second NCAA Division III student-athlete to cross the finish, with a time of 21:43.07. Running against NCAA Division I competition, the Knights took third place as a team, defeating defending NCAA Division III national champion Johns Hopkins (fourth) and several NCAA Division I institutions including Cincinnati and Western Michigan.
