ITHACA, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's tennis team fell on the road at Ithaca College on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 9-0.
The Knights struggled to get their momentum going early in the match in doubles and fell in all three matches while only picking up one game. In singles action, first-year Julia Paolino played a tough match fifth singles, nearly taking the second set but falling 6-1, 6-4. Seniors Grace Klomp and Alexandra Suslan fell at fourth and sixth singles 6-1, 6-2, respectively. Geneseo was unable to sneak out a singles match and ultimately fell to the Bombers, 9-0.
The Knights will look to improve to 2-0 in SUNYAC play as they return to the court tomorrow for a home match against Oswego at 3 p.m.
