Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior forward Dan Bosio and junior forward Justin Cmunt each scored twice as the Knights rebounded with a 6-3 victory over host Brockport on Saturday night.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bosio opened the scoring just 2:55 into the game to give the Knights a 1-0 lead. Cmunt tallied a power play goal with 3:28 to play in the first period and junior forward Bryan Zurowski added a score just 42 seconds later to give Geneseo a 3-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
- Brockport tallied twice early in the second period to cut the Geneseo lead to 3-2, but the Knights responded with a pair of scores to regain a three-goal lead. Bosio and Cmunt each tallied in the second period as Geneseo went into the third period leading, 5-2.
- The Golden Eagles scored just 1:46 into the third period, making it 5-3. The Knights salted away the clock and added an insurance goal with just over three minutes left, as senior defenseman Chris Perna scored his fourth goal of the season to close out the game, 6-3.
QUICK FACTS
- Cmunt scored his team-leading eighth power play goal of the year and tallied his third multi-goal game of the season in his first game back from a four-game absence.
- Bosio notched his fourth multi-goal game of the season while Zurowski added his fourth goal of the year as well.
- Junior goalkeeper Matt Petizian finished with 35 saves to earn his 15th victory of the year in net.
