Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo senior forward Brendan Miller and first-year forward Domenic Garozzo each tallied a goal but the third-ranked Knights fell, 3-2, to visiting Fredonia on Tuesday night in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play at Ira S. Wilson Arena.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo outshot Fredonia, 8-4, in the first period but the Blue Devils struck first, tallying a power play goal with 7:25 to play in the frame to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Knights responded early in the second period with a goal just two minutes in. First-year forward Peter Morgan threaded the needle with an entry pass to first-year forward Domenic Garozzo, who beat the goalkeeper to the glove side to tie the score, 1-1.
- Later in the frame, senior forward Brendan Miller tallied his seventh goal of the season, to give the Knights a 2-1 lead. Sophomore defenseman Camron Cervone created the opportunity with a great keep at the blue line and a quick pass to free up Miller for the score.
- In the third period, Fredonia tallied twice to take a 3-2 lead with 11:41 to play. The Knights pounded the Blue Devil net with 12 third period shots but failed to find the equalizer as the visitors earned the victory.

- Miller tallied his seventh goal of the season while Garozzo scored his fifth of the year. Cervone recorded his third assist of the season while Morgan tallied his team-high 20th assist.
