Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo men's basketball team celebrated its senior day with a 70-64 win over Plattsburgh, which improved the team to 7-5 in SUNYAC play and 9-9 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights got off to a slow start and trailed 11-3 early on in the first half. However, back-to-back three's from junior guard Cole Kattan helped quickly erase that deficit and tie the game at 11-11.
- Geneseo and Plattsburgh traded buckets for most of the first half, but the Knights were able to take a one-point lead into the second half.
- With 13 minutes left to play in the second half, senior forward Jackson Gonseth converted a layup to give Geneseo a 46-45 advantage, and they never trailed for the remainder of the game. The Knights extended their lead to seven points with three minutes left, and went on to win 70-64 behind some solid defense and clutch free throws in the closing minutes.

- Geneseo honored seniors Terrance Nichols, Michael Gannon, Sean Casey, Jared Benson, and Jackson Gonseth in a short pre-game ceremony.
- The win snapped a five-game skid for Geneseo, and helped them stay above .500 in the SUNYAC standings.
- Gannon led the way for the Knights, tallying a double-double with 25 points and 15 rebounds, while Kattan chipped in 19 points and eight boards. Junior guard Harrison Dignan added eight points and nine assists.
