Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo sophomore guard Kiley Snow finished with a team-high 15 points on five three-pointers leading three in double-figures as the Knights rolled to a 67-46 victory over State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) foe Potsdam on Friday night at Schrader Gymnasium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo jumped out to a 6-0 lead, but Potsdam used a 9-3 run to tie the game. Junior forward Lauren Romito scored four of the Knights' next six points to put them ahead, 15-9, but Potsdam hit a three on its final offensive possession to cut the lead, 15-12, at the quarter break.
- Sophomore guard Kylie Snow drilled a pair of three-pointers and senior forward Megan Roell buried a jumper to extend the Geneseo lead to 27-18 with 6:42 remaining in the second period. The Bears cut the lead to five points, but the Knights finished the half on a 14-5 run to take a 41-27 lead into halftime.
- Geneseo and Potsdam traded baskets for most of the third quarter, but the Bears cut the Knights' lead to nine points, 47-38, with 4:26 to play in the period. First-year guard Mackenzie Reigle buried a three-pointer as the Knights capped the quarter with a 6-0 run to take a 53-38 lead into the fourth period.
- Junior forward Madison Hoyt hit a three-pointer to cap that scoring as the Knights outscored the Bears, 14-8, in the fourth period to seal the victory.
