Box Score 3 ALLIANCE, Ohio - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team earned its first win of the season as they split a doubleheader on Saturday afternoon. The Knights defeated Thiel, 3-0, in their first match of the day, but fell to host Mount Union, 3-0, in the second match.
GENESEO 3, THIEL 0 (25-13, 25-14, 25-21)
Sophomore hitter Madison Popielski finished with a team-high eight kills while junior Isabella Imbo tallied seven kills. Senior setter Morgan Michalski earned 15 assists while first-year setter Allie Driesen tallied five assists in her debut. Junior libero Emily Haber notched a squad-best 19 digs while sophomore defensive specialist Cecilia Dignan notched three service aces. Nine Knights tallied at least one kill as the team hit .205, including a match-best .353 clip in the second set.
MOUNT UNION 3, GENESEO 0 (25-16, 25-16, 25-20)
Junior middle Jackie Borland registered 10 kills on just 17 swings with no errors for a .588 hitting percentage. The Knights hit just .030 as a team as they fell to the Raiders in straight sets.
BALDWIN-WALLACE 3, GENESEO 2 (25-16, 24-26, 25-18, 17-25, 15-7)
Junior middle Jackie Borland led the team with nine kills and a .333 hitting percentage while senior setter Morgan Michalski registered 29 assists and junior libero Emily Haber added 26 digs and three aces.

Geneseo (1-3) will return to action on Friday, Sept. 10 when they travel to the Haverford Invitational. The Knights will face the host Fords on Friday night before taking on Scranton and Elizabethtown on Saturday, Sept. 11.
