Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - The SUNY Geneseo women's volleyball team got back in the win column on Tuesday night with a big 3-1 victory at Rochester.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights came out hot in the opening set and took a quick 11-4 lead behind a six-point run. Rochester cut the lead back to three points later in the set, but the Knights were able to pull away and sealed the set with a kill from junior outside hitter Isabella Imbo.
- Late in the second set, Geneseo faced a tie score at 19-19. A kill from sophomore outside hitter Linda Rossi and a solo block from sophomore opposite Julia Wallace on back-to-back points gave the Knights the upper hand and they were able to close out the Yellow Jackets 25-22.
- After dropping the third set, Geneseo was staring down an early 10-3 deficit in the fourth set. However, the Knights were able to string together eight points in a row later in the set and took back control of the match. A kill from Imbo at 24-22 sealed the road win for Geneseo.
QUICK FACTS
- Senior setter Morgan Michalski paced the offense with 37 assists, while junior libero Emily Haber ran the back line with 23 digs.
- Rossi and Imbo both reached double-digit kills with 14 and 11, respectively.
- Haber currently leads the SUNYAC with 5.73 digs per set.

The Knights will return to SUNYAC action this weekend as they travel to Oswego and Cortland this Friday and Saturday, respectively.
