GENESEO, N.Y. -  The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team couldn't pick up a win at home against Cortland on Wednesday night as they fell, 67-60.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Knights came out firing on offense as they scored three quick buckets to take a 6-0 lead. Then a three-point shot from sophomore guard Kiley Snow made it a 9-3 lead with 3:30 left to play in the opening quarter.
• The Red Dragons climbed their way back into the game and eventually tied the score at 12-12, but a three-point buzzer beater from Mackenzie Reigle gave the Knights the momentum and the 15-12 advantage.
• Cortland bounced back in the second quarter and dropped a game-high 22 points in the 10-minute period powered by four three-pointers. The Red Dragons took a 34-29 lead into halftime.
• Geneseo trailed by as much as 12 points in the second half at 45-33, but climbed all the way back to tie the game in the fourth quarter at 54-54 after a made three by junior guard Hannah Stockman.
• The Knights were unable to capitalize on their comeback attempt and ultimately fell 67-60.

QUICK FACTS

• First-year guard Mackenzie Reigle scored a career-high 24 points in the contest and posted a double-double with 11 rebounds.
• Stockman also highlighted the Knights performance with 16 points and nine rebounds.
• The Knights and Red Dragons almost posted identical shooting percentages across the board. Both teams shot 33.3 percent from behind the arc, and 69.2 percent from the free throw line, while Geneseo shot 34.4 percent from the field (22-64) and Cortland shot 34.3 (23-67) percent from the field.
