Box Score FREDONIA, N.Y. – The SUNY Geneseo women's basketball team opened up its SUNYAC campaign with a tough road loss to Fredonia, 60-48.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Knights came out firing on offense as Hannah Stockman drained a three-point shot on the first possession of the game and then Mackenzie Reigle made a layup on the following play to make it a quick 5-0 advantage for Geneseo.
- The Knights led by as much as 12-4 early in the game, but the Blue Devils fought back and entered the second quarter trailing 15-11.
- At halftime, Geneseo led 29-24, but the Blue Devils came out of the locker rooms hot and dropped 25 points in the third quarter to take a commanding lead.
- The Knights comeback attempt in the final quarter fell short and they ultimately fell 60-48.
QUICK FACTS
- Stockman and Reigle led Geneseo offensively with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
- Lauren Romito led the rebounding effort with eight rebounds, while Reigle chipped in five steal on the defensive end.
