Box Score MORRISVILLE, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo first-year Stefan Miklakos finished with a goal and an assist to lead the Knights past conference foe Morrisville, 4-1, on Wednesday night at the Morrisville State Iceplex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- First-year forward Peter Morgan opened the scoring just under six minutes into the game, tallying his third goal of the season to put the Knights ahead, 1-0. Sophomore forward Zach Rehbaum tallied his first career point, earning an assist on the play.
- Senior forward Ryan Burnett added a goal late in the first period to put Geneseo up 2-0, with senior defenseman Matthew Doran and first-year forward Stefan Miklakos earning assists on the play.
- In the final minute of the second period, Miklakos added a goal to extend the lead to 3-0 as sophomore defenseman Nathan Poolman and junior defenseman Alex Wilkins each added an assist on the play.
- In the third period, junior forward Justin Cmunt tallied his third power play goal of the season and his fourth goal total to give the Knights a 4-0 lead. Morrisville tallied a power play goal in the final five minutes, but the Knights kept the 4-1 advantage to the final whistle.
