Box Score GENESEO, N.Y. - SUNY Geneseo senior forward Dan Bosio and junior forward Tyson Gilmour each scored two goals and added an assist as the top-ranked Knights tallied five third-period goals to earn an 8-0 victory over Potsdam on Saturday night in State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Senior forward Henry Cleghorn broke the seal for the Knights, scoring with 6:32 to play in the first period. Gilmour added his first of two goals, finishing off a scrum in front of the net just before the end of the period to make it 2-0 heading into the first intermission.
- Gilmour tallied his second goal early in the second period, finishing a bad-angle wrister from the right slot to increase the Knights' lead to 3-0.
- In the third period, the Knights tacked on five insurance goals, including three on the power play. Bosio notched his first two goals of the season while first-year defenseman Tommy Winn and sophomore forward Jared Thomas each scored their first collegiate goals. Junior forward Justin Cmunt capped the scoring with a power play one-timer with just over five minutes to play, giving the Knights an 8-0 lead.
- First-year goaltender Adam Harris made 11 stops to earn his first career shutout and take the win in net.

- Geneseo scored a season-high eight goals, the most scored in a game by the Knights since Feb. 1, 2020, in an 8-3 victory at Morrisville.
- The Knights went 3-for-5 on the power play, improving to .400 (10-for-25) on the man advantage for the season, while the Geneseo penalty kill held Potsdam 0-for-2 on the power play.
