HOW IT HAPPENED
- Geneseo struck first nearly eight minutes into the game. Plattsburgh scored before the end of the frame to cut the lead to 2-1.
- The two squads played through a scoreless second period but the Knights extended their lead back to two goals in the third period. Wunder intercepted a pass in the defensive zone and outskated a pair of Cardinals into the attacking zone and slid the puck to first-year forward Peter Morgan on the back post for a tap-in goal, making it 3-1.
